About the Role
Our accounting services team specializes in delivering comprehensive professional services to businesses and organizations across diverse industries throughout the United States. As a Manager, you’ll have hands-on opportunities to serve as a trusted advisor to clients while leading high-performing teams through complex engagements and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Client Advisory & Relationship Management
- Serve as clients’ trusted advisor by demonstrating deep knowledge of industry trends, proactively identifying client issues and conflicts, and communicating strategic solution options to both clients and internal teams
- Manage and retain multiple client relationships, engagements, and special projects with a focus on delivering exceptional value
- Develop comprehensive understanding of each client’s organization, procedures, and internal policies to provide tailored guidance
- Participate in new client development initiatives in partnership with upper management, including client meetings, presentations, proposal development, and cross-service opportunity identification
Engagement Management & Quality Control
- Lead staff teams on critical deliverables including financial statements, tax returns, and work papers while ensuring adherence to quality control standards
- Conduct thorough technical and strategic reviews as a member of the final engagement review team
- Develop comprehensive engagement budgets and ensure on-time delivery within budget parameters
- Manage billing and realization processes for assigned clients, providing clear explanations for any variances
- Consistently meet individual charge hour goals and productivity targets
Technical Leadership & Professional Development
- Demonstrate advanced technical proficiency in handling all client responsibilities, including knowledge of industry trends, alternatives, and best practices
- Supervise, train, and mentor staff members through effective listening and communication
- Foster a collaborative team environment that supports management decisions and builds positive workplace culture
- Participate in practice development activities that generate new business opportunities and cross-service initiatives
Business Development & Strategic Growth
- Actively contribute to firm growth through client relationship expansion and new business development
- Meet individual cross-service targets and contribute to overall practice profitability
- Engage in industry networking and thought leadership activities as assigned
Required Qualifications
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Active CPA license or equivalent professional certification
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field preferred
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 6 years of experience in public accounting or related professional services
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership success
- Proven ability to manage all aspects of complex client engagements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels, both internally and externally
Technical & Travel Requirements
- Proficiency with applicable technology platforms and accounting software
- Ability to travel based on client and business needs
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuing education
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Education
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field strongly preferred
- Additional professional certifications relevant to public accounting or specialized industries
Technical & Leadership Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of current accounting standards and regulatory requirements
