Job Overview
As a Tax Senior Associate in our Private Client Services (PCS) team at Local Outsourced Accounting (ACGDEPT), you will play a key role in managing tax compliance and consulting engagements for high-net-worth individuals, families, and their related entities. You will supervise and mentor staff, review complex tax returns, and provide strategic tax planning and advisory services. Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise and review the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, and closely held businesses.
- Provide proactive tax planning and consulting services to private clients, including high-net-worth individuals and family offices.
- Manage multiple client engagements, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Research complex tax issues and provide clear, concise recommendations to clients and team members.
- Mentor, train, and develop junior staff and interns, providing feedback and guidance.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor.
- Assist with IRS and state tax audits, notices, and correspondence.
- Stay current on tax law changes and industry trends relevant to private clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Taxation preferred.
- CPA license required.
- 4+ years of relevant tax experience, preferably in public accounting or a similar client service environment.
- Strong knowledge of individual, trust, and estate tax compliance and planning.
- Experience supervising and reviewing work of junior staff.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and client service skills.
- Proficiency with tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
