International Tax Specialist
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and detail-oriented International Tax Specialist to join our growing tax advisory team. This role is pivotal in managing cross-border tax issues, transfer pricing strategies, international compliance, and global tax planning for multinational clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of international tax regulations, treaties, and structures to help clients remain compliant while minimizing tax liability globally.
The International Tax Specialist will collaborate with clients and internal teams to analyse tax obligations and support strategic decision-making in foreign operations, mergers, expansions, and entity structuring.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyse and interpret international tax laws, treaties, and cross-border regulations.

Prepare and review international tax filings, including Forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 1118, and related disclosures.

Advise clients on tax-efficient global structuring, foreign tax credits, and Subpart F/GILTI rules.

Assist with transfer pricing documentation, intercompany transactions, and BEPS compliance.

Conduct research on emerging global tax legislation (OECD, FATCA, Pillar One/Two).

Support tax planning for foreign investments, repatriation strategies, and exit transactions.

Liaise with tax authorities and external advisors across multiple jurisdictions.

Work with internal audit and finance teams to ensure accurate tax accounting for international operations.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field (required)

Master’s in Taxation, JD, or LLM in Taxation (preferred)

CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification (strongly preferred)
Experience:
-
4+ years of experience in international tax compliance and planning

Experience with multinational corporations or public accounting firms

Strong understanding of U.S. international tax rules (Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, FTCs)

Experience with tax treaties, foreign subsidiary compliance, and reporting
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in tax software (e.g., GoSystem, CCH Axcess, ONESOURCE) and research tools (Checkpoint, Bloomberg Tax)

Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills

Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is a plus
